Easter Seals New Jersey Camping & Recreation provides travel services to adults with developmental disabilities and currently seeks a dynamic and energetic individual to work with our summer Hotel and Travel Respite Program as a HTR Prgm Asst. Our travel program consists of 6-day and 12-day programs running from June through August. Traveling by bus and support van, we will visit destinations in the Northeast including: New England; Catskill Mountains; Nashville/Memphis; and the Jersey Shore. The Discovery Program is seeking an outdoor and environmental education instructor for the school year 2012-2013. RANCH HAND – TEXAS
Camp For All is accepting applications for a Ranch Hand. Located near Burton, Texas, between Houston and Austin, Camp For All is a barrier free camp that works in close collaboration with other non-profits to provide life changing experiences for children and adults with challenging illnesses or special needs and their families throughout the year. Reporting to the Equestrian Supervisor, the Ranch Hand must have experience handling our animals which include horses, cattle, llama, sheep, goats, pigs, donkeys and various reptiles. You must also have knowledge of animal feeding practices and grooming and cleaning stalls, pens and pastures. This is a physically demanding position so you must be able to lift 50 pounds and walk 5 miles a day with rest breaks when necessary; a minimum of one year in camp programming is also preferred. MANAGEMENT TRAINEE – NEW HAMPSHIRE
Our Management Training program is for young adults or new-to-the-field professionals with a desire to begin a career in the YMCA, Residential Camping (900 campers), Outdoor Education, Adventure Camps, or Educational Travel Programs (we take 8 trips, 500 students on tours of historic Boston, Washington DC, etc.) wanting to get more experience in a variety of areas. This is a program to train new professionals in all aspects of the Cheshire YMCA. This program provides hands-on experience in management within the YMCA and Leisure Services industry. Camp High Hopes, a brand new, 90-acre year-round special needs camp for youth and adults located within the city of Sioux City Iowa, is seeking a full-time, year-round Health Care Manager who holds a current Registered Nurse (R.N.) license and will be responsible for overseeing the health of our campers and our employees, as well as our Medical Center and Medical Policies. We are looking for a self-motivated professional with leadership and organizational skills. Experience in caring for both children and adults with chronic illness/injury/physical and developmental disabilities is desired. The Health Care Manager must have general nursing functions, staff training capabilities, knowledge of special diets, infection control principals, physical assessments, standing orders, vital signs, medical terminology/abbreviations, inventory and purchasing capabilities for the Medical Center and the ability to create and maintain the camp’s Healthcare Manual and Treatment Procedures Manual per ACA and state requirements. Position available for a Site Manager at Camp Winding River in Dearborn, MO. Camp Winding River is approximately 400 acres and specializes in equestrian activities and includes a state of the art equestrian center. Site Manager ensures that buildings and property are maintained in a safe and attractive manner; performs periodic checks and responds to requests from staff; performs minor repairs and remodeling jobs and oversees contracted services.
