Nature’s Classroom ( at Riverview Camp, an ACA and AEE accredited experiential education center, is now hiring! Teachers (4-year college degree required) facilitate hands-on classes in all academic areas, lead hikes and teach environmental ethics. Activities focus on cooperation, communication, and team-building using group initiatives and the low challenge course. Other activities: canoeing, night hikes, climbing tower, and high challenge course. Staff contracts are seasonal (Spring/Fall semesters) and staff generally works 4-5 day weeks (very little weekend work required). Camp Stevens is seeking 2 Wilderness Trip Leaders. This is an opportunity for an organized leader who enjoys working with people in a wilderness setting to teach basic wilderness skills, and lead in a creative and supportive atmosphere. Waycross Camp, a program of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis, located in the beautiful hills and forests of Brown County, Indiana is looking for a Camp Director. The program runs for six weeks serving 300-400 campers and has two weeks of staff training. The program combines a unique opportunity to educate children in marine biology. We are hiring instructors to work at the Sewee Coastal Retreat Center (in Awendaw right outside of Charleston, SC) where we teach our Expedition Sewee program. You will be trained to master lesson plans for six marine science classes including marine life, salt marsh and barrier island beach studies. We work with students from 2nd to 8th grade and instruct in day and night programming. This program runs for 3 days and 2 nights with each group.
