NATURALIST – INDIANA
The naturalist for Porter County Parks and Recreation is an ever-evolving position. The naturalist will lead and assist in planning, coordinating and conducting safe and effective camp activities and programs for year-round camp programs. The naturalist will also assist in developing, implementing and documenting new and existing indoor and outdoor programs, and assure they meet current Indiana State Academic Standards. The naturalist will develop and deliver curriculum for all camps. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating and conducting safe and effective camp activities, and developing, implementing, and documenting programs. YMCA Camp Abnaki, a boy’s residential camp consisting of 91 acres and 52 buildings on the shores of beautiful Lake Champlain in North Hero, Vermont, is seeking a year-round property manager. The Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance, repair, cleanliness and security of camp buildings, grounds, equipment and vehicles. The position supervises seasonal staff members and monitors the work of outside contractors and vendors involved in construction projects and improvements to the camp. The Manager may be asked to work weekends and/or evenings and in other facilities of the Y on an as needed basis in the off-season.
