* OUTDOOR EDUCATION PROGRAM STAFF – MICHIGAN
This position runs from Mar. 28-Oct. 15, 2011. Resp. include group
facilitation school programs, specialist or coordinator role on our summer
camp program team (DOE), facilitation of our National High School
Leadership Conference, and the completion of an individual project. All
team members must commit to 10 days of staff training upon arrival, which

Outdoor Education: Instructor Positions Available for Nature’s Classroom
Inc. Nature’s Classroom in Charlton, Massachusetts, which operates 14
sites in New England, is currently seeking individuals to serve as group
leaders and teachers in 5-day residential program emphasizing learning,
motivation, and community awareness through nature-based experiences.
BA/BS preferred; science/math background helpful; First Aid/EMT

learning; experience working with children desired; special interests such

Camp Mason seeks individuals for positions teaching groups of students in
outdoor, environmental and recreational activities. Duties include
planning and teaching classes to groups of students 10 – 14 yrs. old;
supervising outdoor recreation activities; assisting with curriculum
development and planning; when needed, assisting with cleaning and
preparation of camp facilities. Requirements: Degree or major in
Environmental Science, Education, or related field; must be comfortable

Charleston. Our program, Expedition Sewee, offers an unforgettable study
of coastal ecosystems – how they function, what they provide and why

OUTDOOR EDUCATOR/NATURALIST – SOUTH CAROLINA
Our programs have the advantage of being located in the mountains,
midlands, and coastal areas of South Carolina. We educate children in
natural resources, forensic sciences, and marine biology. We have three
sites that we will hire instructors for, they include: Pickens Educational
Center in Pickens, SC where we teach our CSI program (forensic science),
R.M. Cooper 4-H Leadership Center in Summerton, SC where we teach our
Teaching KATE program (natural resources), and Sewee Coastal Retreat
Center in Awendaw, SC where we teach our Expedition Sewee program (marine

* RETREAT COORDINATOR INTERN – CALIFORNIA
The Retreat Coordinator Intern is responsible for all aspects of the
weekend retreat business at Alpine Meadows. This includes all

CAMP DIRECTOR – VERMONT
Innovative Camp Director Sought: A new summer camp starts in VT at the
former Windridge Tennis facility in Craftsbury Common. The new owners,
also own world renowned Craftsbury Outdoor Center (a X-C ski and sculling
center), are looking to hire a F/T camp professional ASAP. The new
non-profit camp will focus on Sculling, Mtn Biking, Soccer, Canoeing,
Wilderness (trips, hiking), Design Build (wood-fired bread oven, rustic
furniture, boats) and Running/Fitness. Work w/in the community w/ eye to
environmental sustainability practices are principal tenets of the owners.
Much is still in the planning phases and the Director will have key role
in creating schedules, policies & traditions. The camp will operate 4,
2-week long sessions. Co-ed, 8-16 year olds will be the will be the
market. Travel to recruit campers & staff will be extensive. Previous camp

FAMILY CAMP MANAGER(S) – VERMONT
A small family camp in northern VT is seeking full-time manager(s) to take
over for the current managers who are retiring after 20+ years. Since its
inception 120 years ago, there have been only 6 couples who have managed
the camp, which is open for 9 weeks each summer, with some special events
off-season. Many families have attended annually for years, creating a
close-knit vacation community. The position requires supervising 20-30
camp staff during summer months; general knowledge of property management,
maintenance and repair; handling all provisioning for the camp; strong
accounting and computer skills; and ability to conduct both the day-to-day
business operations and the year-round running of the camp. Projected
start date late 2011/early 2012. A house and household expenses are

* ASSISTANT CAMP DIRECTOR/DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS – VIRGINIA
Works with Director of Programs to plan, implement and manage our vibrant
summer theatre camp. Primary duties include marketing, registration,
financial record-keeping, oversight of 20-person staff, and communicating
with parents and campers. Ideal candidate: BA in Theatre, Arts Management,
or equivalent; highly organized, energetic, able to multi-task,
prioritize, initiate and collaborate; excellent communication skills;
experience in camps/camping; clean driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Bonus points for: CDL, knowledge of diesel mechanics, stage management,
QuickBooks. Traveling Players Ensemble’s summer camp (June 20 to August
12) is a day camp with campouts every Thursday. Occasional weekend and
