YouTube launched YouTube 101: Educational Series – a series that explains basic features to new users. The videos are instructional and entertaining. What people new to web video may not realize is that they were developed by YouTube web stars like: Kent Nichols and Doug Sarine from Ask a Ninja fame. Their video happens to be my favorite but I am biased. I would love to see a video by Steve Garfield, especially since his new book Get Seen is a true asset to anyone working with video. As I mention in many of my sessions at camp conferences, Justine Ezarik, also known as iJustine on YouTube, is a creative talent. Her YouTube page and endless production of video is an example of hard work, creativity, and maximizing her brand and distribution channels. Whether you like her videos or not, pay attention to how she publicizes and stays true to her brand. Where is her YouTube 101 video? Did I miss it? I also wish there were a Tim Street video represented.
Regarding private sharing, which is what this video is about, I have found a Blip.tv pro account for about $8 per month gives me a range of private sharing options that are more versatile than YouTube.
