* CABIN COUNSELOR – ARKANSAS
Americorps Counselors – Arkansas. Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp is accepting
applications for male and female counselors to begin in September 2009
until July 31, 2010. Pfeifer Camp is an educational, residential camp for
at-risk youth ages 8-14. The Alternative Classroom Experience, has won
local, national, and international awards, was named a national Exemplary
Substance Abuse Prevention Program. AmeriCorps Counselors must live at the
camp from Sunday evening through Friday afternoon each week, are
responsible for up to 10 campers in a cabins, lead in all camp activities,
tutor in the classroom and serve as parents, teachers, friends and mentors
to their campers. Applicants 21 or older are preferred but exceptions are
possible. Benefits: Living allowance of $11,400, free room/board, 100%
health care, 2 weeks paid time off at Christmas and 1 week at Spring

SERVANT COMMUNITY – NEW YORK
Servant Community… Year-round Staff Community! The Koinonia Community (a
non-profit, Christian Outdoor Ministry) is searching for individuals
interested in committing 18 months as a part of a staff team to host,
support, and lead programming with youth & adults in our 1200 acres of
Catskill wilderness as well as New York City. Staff have opportunities to
serve in a variety of roles: leading environmental education sessions,
caring for our farm, hosting & programming for a wide range of year-round
retreat groups, and assisting with housekeeping, kitchen, & maintenance
tasks. In summer, Servant Community assume leadership roles with summer

AT-RISK INSTRUCTOR – SOUTH CAROLINA
Scheduling, supervising, and instructing student activities at the camp. –
Assist in designing and implementing outdoor based curriculum. – Assigns
and supervises duties and activities of volunteers; make community
contacts as needed. – Must be physically able to perform the tasks
required to teach outdoors. – Provides or arranges transportation services
to ensure the needed services are available and provided. – Residential
duties on certain nights. – BA or BS in Outdoor Education, Social
Sciences, Youth Development or other related subjects is preferred. –
Experience working with at-risk students preferred (behavior or other). –
Must have the patience, understanding, flexibility, and a lot of energy. –
Must demonstrate teaching skills and the ability to implement creative
“hands on” teaching methods. Salary: $275 per week ($250 non-degree) plus

OUTDOOR ED INSTRUCTOR/NATURALIST – SOUTH CAROLINA
To instruct 4-8th grade students in the four areas of the natural resource
components, instruct night programs for participants, facilitate team
initiatives and games, and perform other duties that are required by the
Outdoor Education Coordinator that relates to the program. Duties: •Lead
students in daily program activities (wake-up, flagpole, meals, canteen,
and campfire). •Be actively involved in all program activities, leading
and participating in evening recreational and instructional times •BA or
BS in Environmental Education, or related field is preferred. •Must have
the patience, understanding, flexibility, and a lot of energy. •Must
demonstrate teaching skills and the ability to implement creative “hands
on” teaching methods. •Must be physically able to perform the tasks
required to teach outdoors. •Must be willing to work long hours. Pay
Scale: Monthly pay of $1000-1100 plus room, board, and insurance plan.

VILLAGE LEADER/ASSISTANT DIRECTOR – CALIFORNIA
Small (90 campers), coed, traditional, residential summer camp seeks male
village leader. The village leader is summer only, but there is potential
for a transition to a year-round assistant director position as well.
www.campaugusta.org is a very successful, nonprofit camp with an 11-week
season, plus family camps and outdoor education during the shoulder
seasons, which are optional. Open, family-feel camp with egalitarian

OFFICE COORDINATOR – COLORADO
Highlands Presbyterian Camp and Retreat Center located on the edge of
Rocky Mountain National Park is seeking an Office Coordinator. The ideal
candidate is a professing Christian, with the ability to “multi-task,”
handling a variety of inputs and responsibilities within a limited amount
of time. The Office Coordinator must be able to anticipate the needs of
guests and staff, organize office tasks, and coordinate the day-to-day
operations of the center. Highlands staff members are expected to work
together in a team atmosphere and practice hospitality in all aspects of
their work. Required skills include excellent computer skills, and being
detail oriented and accurate. Book keeping skills are helpful. This
position is a full-time, salaried, exempt position which includes housing

Circle F Dude Ranch Camp. Must have solid experience (minimum of 4+ years)

The Fowler Center for Outdoor Learning is a year round camp serving youth
and adults with disabilities. Program Coordinator responsibilities
include: coordinate and run group events, help train, supervise and
evaluate summer staff and help lead summer camp programming. Programs
offered include swimming, boating, horseback riding, gardening, small
animal care, sports & recreation, creative arts, outdoor education and

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION DIRECTOR – NEVADA
Sierra Nevada Journeys is a Nevada non-profit educational organization
that provides experiential science, leadership, and outdoor education
programs for elementary schools. We are one of the leading experiential
education providers in Nevada and California and we are looking for a
person to help us continue to grow and help positively influence our
quickly expanding residential programming at our Journeys Outdoor School.
The Environmental Education Director (EED) position will be a full time 10
month position starting April 1st. The EED would be directly supervised by
Director of Residential Programs. Qualifications: 3-5 years experience
directing environmental education/ outdoor school program; Bachelors in
related field or equivalent life experience; Ability to manage multiple
tasks and to be accountable to weekly deliverables; Exceedingly
professional in all contacts with schools and the community; Positive
attitude, strong work ethic, team player; Ability to pass background
check; Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and hike up to 7 miles per day;
Current lifeguard certification preferred, but not necessary; Current

CAMP DIRECTOR – PENNSYLVANIA
Seeking director for Kirkwood which is a Christian camp and retreat center
located in east-central Pennsylvania. It is ACA accredited and owned by

PROGRAM COORDINATOR – SOUTH CAROLINA
Oversees the overall development of the mothers and children at the
center. Compile participant evaluations and complete necessary reports as
needed by the Department of Social Services; Coordinate training for those
involved in food service and preparation; Coordinates with administrative
staff to ensure timely and accurate correspondence and reporting; and
participate in staff orientations, trainings, and meetings. Hire, train
and manage, the New Horizons instructors, house mothers and support staff,
and meet challenges unique to the New Horizons programs and activities. Be
at least 21 years of age and possesses a BA or BS degree (preferred),
experience in youth care, social work and/or counseling preferred.

Camp Lonehollow is a co-ed adventure camp in scenic Vanderpool, Texas. The
Lonehollow internship is designed for an individual looking for a career
in camping. The internship involves experience in all aspects of running a
camp operation to include marketing, staffing, training, and management of
