OUTDOOR EDUCATION PROGRAM STAFF – MICHIGAN
Outdoor Education Program Staff (full-time, seasonal). The American Youth
Foundation’s Miniwanca is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the
position of Outdoor Education Program Staff. This position runs
consecutively from April 6, 2009 through October 17, 2009.
Responsibilities include group facilitation for spring and fall school
programs, specialist or coordinator role on our summer camp program team
(DOE), facilitation of our National High School Leadership Conference, and
the completion of an individual project. All team members must commit to
10 days of staff training upon arrival, which will include facilitation
training, site orientation, ARC Lifeguard/FA/CPR certification and AYF
curriculum orientation. $200-$280/week, DOE. $150/wk for staff training.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in any youth-, outdoor-
or education-related field; have a strong passion for positive youth

Camp Mason seeks individuals for hands-on, field positions that directly

FIELD INSTRUCTOR – SOUTH CAROLINA
The Youth Development Center works with children who have been termed
status offenders (status offenses are things such as truancy, behavior
problems, breaking of school policies). We are located in Aiken, SC at a
400 acre camp which features canoeing, camping, low and high adventure
courses, and many recreation sites. The program will work with a maximum
of 45 students at a time while maintaining a 1 to 8 instructor to student
ratio. Students stay in the program from 3 to 6 months. – Scheduling,
supervising, and coordinating juvenile activities at the center. Provide
teaching, crisis intervention, and orientation of new juveniles, and
serves as a treatment team member. Residential duties on certain nights.

MALE FIELD INSTRUCTOR – SOUTH CAROLINA
OYDP offers a unique learning opportunity for students, grades 6 – 11, who
have been recommended for potential expulsion. This alternative
educational program will allow students to strengthen their academic
skills, as well as their life skills in an organized camping environment.
Critical thinking, problem solving and adventure are promoted so that the
students may return to school as a successful student. Scheduling,

LUTHERAN CAMP ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR – TEXAS
Lutheran Camp Chrysalis is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country and
