Summer Camps have often been slow to adopt new technology. There are a few reasons for this:
- Many traditional camps focus on getting children outdoors and participating in activities that the cannot normally do at home.
- A large group of the well established camp directors and owners did not grow up with new media and technology.
- Residential camps are often located in areas that have poor internet and cell reception.
There are conferences that can introduce new media to beginners and provide an abundance of resources and supports. BlogWorld & New Media Expo is one such conference.
Taken from their site:
The 2008 BlogWorld & New Media Expo will take place September 20-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with the exclusive “Executive & Entrepreneur” conference beginning September 19th.
